Hello, and thanks for visiting the site! This is basically a place to promote my books, but also a place for me to pay tribute to my favorite writing (books, poetry, lyrics, & short stories). Currently, my first two books, Double Take and Viewer's Choice, are available now! See below for details. Take a look around and come back soon!
Yours truly,

Almost doesn't count...Or does it?
Tiffany is a twinless twin who lost her sister in a car accident right before their thirteenth birthday. As her high school graduation day approaches, she finds herself missing her sister more than ever. She begins working on a secret project in memory of her twin. However, after Tiffany ends up in a bad accident, things take a turn for the worse and she abandons her project, realizing that some memories are best cherished from within. Years go by, until one particular summer,Tiffany's past begins to haunt not only her, but a group of young campers as well. They learn that some actions have never-ending consequences, no matter how long ago they occurred. After years of refusing to acknowledge the past, it has come back to stare Tiffany in the face. Now Tiffany must find the strength to face it or many lives may be in danger...

Update
11/13/11
Hey everyone. I hope everybody is doing well and preparing for the quickly approaching holiday season! I've made some updates to the site. I just came up with the idea to start a movie recommendation section. After all--before movies hit the big screen (or the small screen), they were written works first! So check out the Movie Recommendation section, for movies old and new.
Also, I've added a new song. Take a look.

The boy who lived

In light of the last Harry Potter film being out, I just had to write a little something. The series remains to this day and always will be my favorite set of books. And as a writer, I will always be challenging myself to write something as imaginative, fantastic, and meaningful as this. I'll probably never succeed, but at least I have my sights set high! ^_^
New Blog.
Beware lots of Spoilers though!

Causes: Save Lennox & Tony the Tiger
6-22-11
Yes, I know this site is called "T.D. Edwards' Writing Corner." However, it's a crazy world out there, and there are often various causes that I come across and want to help with. Thus, I am adding a new section to the site, "Causes" in which I will post things that I have come across and would like to spread the word about. The first, beginning today, is the "Save Lennox" campaign. I am absolutely dumbfounded by this. There is a dog, by the name of Lennox in Belfast, UK, that has been sentenced to death for NO REASON apart from the way he looks. The dog belongs to an 11 year old disabled girl, and has been taken away from her and her family, and ordered, BY LAW to be killed because he appears to be a "pitbull type." Pit bulls have a bad rep. But I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as a bad dog. There are only bad owners. This dog is lovable and has been trained to help this young girl. The dog has not attacked anyone. Yet, it is going to be killed because it looks like a pitbull. Unbelievable. This is the law out there--that dogs considered to belong to "dangerous breeds" can be killed based on appearance. And not that it should even matter, but Lennox is not even a pitbull--he's just been mistaken for one.
Please join the Save Lennox page of Facebook to show your support. And then click here to sign the petition to save this innocent dog. For those of you who want to learn more about Lennox and further help, click here and proceed to the "How you can help" section for various people and organizations to contact to show your disapproval of this "dog racism" that is taking place in the UK. Perhaps worldwide support will help Belfast see the error of their ways. Thanks!
Secondly, in Louisiana, Governor Jindal thinks its appropriate for a tiger to be kept in a cage at a Truck Stop as a sideshow attraction. Tigers are wild animals that deserve to live in the wild, not in a cage to attract attention. Calling Twitter users, please sign this petition to release the tiger into the wild, where it belongs. Tigers are one of our most beautiful and most endangered species.
Last but not least, another song has been added. One I think that is very fitting for this post.

I like nonsense. It wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities. -- Dr. Seuss
Just a quote I came across today and enjoyed. Thought I'd share. Check out minor updates in Quotes. :)

Happy Easter!
4-25-11
For those who celebrate, I hope you all have a nice Easter yesterday! I also want to take the time to thank those of you who have been visiting this site. My name, "T.D. Edwards" and book title Double Take is recognized by Google, Bing, and Yahoo's search engines! I've attempted to get this site to appear in search engines a long time ago, but just didn't think it was going to happen. But apparently, if I am not mistaken, there have been enough of you visiting this site and hence, search engines now pick it up. So thanks again!
The short story book is still on its way. My illustrator, who happens to be my cousin, Jewel Ruby, is currently working on the cover. So stay tuned! I will release the book through FastPencil's marketplace, and when I do, you will be the first to know! ;)
P.S. - New book recommendation (Beastly) has been posted! Check it out.

I just want to say thank you to anyone out there who took the time to vote for my sister and her fiance. Unfortunately, they did not win WGN's Royal Wedding contest. But that's ok. A bigger and better wedding is in the works for next year.
Thanks again to those who voted! :)

Things are going well with "Viewer's Choice." If all is well, perhaps it will be out in a month or so (or sooner, stay turned for info).
It is a short story book, consisting of 4 short stories. In fact, one of them indeed is the more 'complete' version of the "Untitled" snippet that appears in the Prose Corner. Check it out for a sneak-peak, and then purchase Viewer's Choice to read the whole story.
In the mean time, I've added a short story for your reading pleasure. Check out "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" by F. Scott Fitzgerald in Prose Corner. Of course, the movie starring Brad Pitt was based on it. I just thought it was interesting to read the actual story that inspired it. ;)
F.Y.I. - If you've ever wondered why you can find full text of some books/stories online for free and not others--It's because authors' lose their copyrights 50 years after death. Then their works free to the general public. They can be posted, copied, distributed freely. What does this mean? All those old out-dated stories teachers make you read for school in your English classes (think Shakespeare, Chaucer, Frankenstien, Pride & Prejudice, Crime & Punishment, The Scarlet Letter, etc.), you can get them for FREE. Look them up online, print them out. Download the free ebooks. Save yourself a few dollars! Would be convenient if teachers told students this...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Merry Christmas, everyone! And Happy New Year!
Last year, my New Year's Resolution was to have the next book ready to publish by January 2011. So far, so good. The next book is coming along. It is a short story book, with 4 short stories and poems. By "ready to publish" I mean written and figured out, lol. So actual publication may perhaps be Spring/Summer 2011. Writing is only half the work, of course. It needs editing, and cover designs, and all that good stuff.
The tentative title at the moment is "Viewer's Choice." So if you are interested, please stay tuned for details. Thanks so much to everyone who has visited this site this year and/or purchased Double Take. I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. :)
Happy Holidays!
Yours truly,
T.D. Edwards

Words, words, words!
7/15/10
Two changes in the same week!
So, the Words section has been rearranged. I thought there were too many words on the same page. So it is now broken into separate sections-- one for Quotes, one for Poetry, and one for Songs. Hopefully this will make navigating easier for those interested in these sections.
P.S. - New song added and links to songs updated, so hopefully you can listen along if you want to.

Changes...
7/14/10
A few changes. First, the Double Take: Extras section has been changed, or more accurately, downsized. Chapter by Chapter Details no longer exists because I now feel that it was not sensible for it to exist in the first place. The worst thing an author can do is provide too much details. So I have erased most of it, leaving it in its place the section Random Details. Thus, things that spoil or give too many details to the story are gone, leaving what I wrote for the actual novel happily ambivalent in the parts I left open for readers to figure out for themselves. No need for me as the author to limit the readers' imaginations. :)
Second, there is an update in the Future Releases section.
